Following GCCA’s success in securing a seat on the Government of Canada’s Consumer Demand and Market Trends table, GCCA has also officially joined the Government’s Animal Protein table, which held its latest meeting September 2023. Congebec’s France Pomerleau is participating in the table representing GCCA. The mandate of the table is to “advance and strengthen the animal protein sector’s competitive position.” The four current themes being discussed at the table include: labour, supply chain resiliency, technology, and regulations.
