Egypt COVID-19 webinarOn June 17, GCCA worked with the Eng. Hesham Badawy of the Egyptian Cold Chain Association and Cool Care via webinar to provide best practices for worker society amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. With the support of the USAID-funded Egypt Food Security and Agribusiness Support (FAS) project, GCCA’s Cold Chain Technical Advisor, James Eason, pulled information from GCCA’s COVID-19 Rapid Response Guide. This was localized with the reality facing Egyptians working in the perishable food supply chain by Eng. Hesham Badawy, who presented it in Arabic on June 17, followed by a question and answer session. The session has reached an estimated 1,000 farmers and employees in the cold chain industries, and will be followed by two additional webinars focused on best practices for postharvest, transport and storage.
